The Teacher Tax
The tax on teachers began with this paycheck. I'm now required to pay 3% of my salary to the State of Michigan (a tax, in other words), and the paycheck I received today has been lowered by $115.
That's my grocery money. I can't afford this. I can barely support my kids on what I make now.
