Irene Bacon, 1911-2011

My (step) great-grandmother died this week.  She turned 100 this last winter and had 59 grandchildren and I don't know how many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She outlived 15 of her 21 children and step-children, and she said she was ready.  It's sad and impressive at the same time: her life ended, but she managed to live just over a century.  Wow.
