Maksim at the Dentist
We started off bright and early at the dentist with Maksim today. Three cavities to fill, and when the dentist got in there, she discovered the second one was so deep, she basically had to reconstruct the entire molar in silver. This is the second tooth he's had this done with. His teeth are so soft due to poor natal nutrition and lack of fluoride in the water in Ukraine.
He asked for nitrous oxide (since Aunt Bethany always gives it to him) and I gave permission, even though I don't think my insurance covers it. The procedure took nearly two hours. But Mackie didn't cry and was fine throughout, and I told him afterward he did great.
With the two silver teeth, he looks like a pirate!
